My Favorite Wife - My Favorite Wife is a 1940 screwball comedy film that tells the story of Ellen Wagstaff Arden (Irene Dunne), a young mother who returns home after seven years of being stranded on a tropical island only to discover that that very afternoon her beloved husband Nick (Cary Grant) has had her declared legally dead. Making matters worse is that after she is declared dead, Nick will marry his high strung fiancée Bianca (Gail Patrick).
